You will be doing this module during Terms 8 and 9.

On completion of this module, you should be able to,

1. Formulate a research question

2. Access, review and compile scientific literature on a research topic

4. Design and write a research proposal applying the knowledge gained in basic statistics and epidemiology

5. Identify, address and obtain ethics clearance for ethical issues in research

6. Develop data collection tools and collect valid data using appropriate study instruments

7. Analyze data using statistical software

8. Interpret and draw valid conclusions from a research study

9. Write a research report

10. Defend the research work carried out

11. Disseminate research findings

12. Interpret research findings in publications for evidence-based clinical/public health practice

13. Enhance critical thinking in research work, leadership, teamwork and writing skills
