To : All Students Regarding Clinical Attendance & Professorials
Students are expected to have 100% attendance for clinical appointments. Those with less than 80% attendance must make up missed clinical work regardless of the reason.
Even with over 80% attendance, any missed mandatory components must be repeated if recommended by the HoD/Clinician/Stream. Students absent due to valid reasons must inform the responsible HoD/Clinician/Stream and follow the official leave procedures.
Guidelines for final-year professorial clinical training and completion criteria are outlined in the relevant handbook. The details of the professorial appointment will be included in the Clinical Sciences Stream Handbook. Final certification
of successful completion is decided by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, based on the Head of Department’s recommendation and the guidelines set by each clinical department.
