As the Faculty of Medicine, we place very high importance on the effective use of the Learning Management System (LMS). The LMS is not an optional add-on to your education; it is a core academic platform that supports how you learn, engage with content, and take responsibility for your professional development.
Modern medical education goes well beyond lectures and examinations. It requires you to be an active, self-directed learner—someone who can identify learning needs, access reliable resources, reflect on progress, and continuously improve. The LMS is designed to support exactly this kind of learning. Through it, you will find learning materials, assessments, feedback, announcements, and opportunities for interaction that are essential to your training.
Engaging with the LMS allows you to learn at your own pace, revisit complex concepts, and prepare more effectively for clinical practice. It also helps ensure fairness, transparency, and consistency in teaching and assessment across the Faculty. I strongly encourage you to take ownership of your learning by actively using the LMS, keeping track of your progress, meeting deadlines, and engaging with the resources provided. Responsibility for learning is a defining attribute of a competent and trustworthy medical professional, and it begins now.
